Objective

The design of a module based online platform for UNICEF Lottery (Lotteriet); Norway’s first ever digital only charity lottery.

Working closely with Lottovate (UNICEF’s innovative lottery provider partner platform), the goal was to create a website which would not only house the lottery game whilst portraying the brands ethos, but gave players the chance to win large jackpots at the same time as raising money for the charity.

It had to be module based, to allow for a flexible layout – where certain elements could be switched on and off when required.

Solution

Designed entirely in Sketch, a cross-platform visual solution was created that delivered a clean but engaging user experience; that not only reflected the modern and innovative way that UNICEF was using a lottery to raise long-term sustainable income, but the ethos behind the brand.

As it was module based, an extensive brand doc was created to unpack each component in greater detail and describe the design language.

Results

It was received very well by both Lottovate and UNICEF and was used to successfully launch the first of it’s kind product to the Norwegian Market.
