The UNICEF Lotteriet was Norway’s first ever digital only, groundbreaking, charity fundraising lottery that turned ticket sales into life-changing support for kids around the world.
Working closely with Lottovate (UNICEF’s lottery partner platform), we were tasked with the goal of designing a system which would not only house the lottery game, but also create awareness of the charity.
Designed entirely in Sketch, it had to be module based to allow for a very flexible layout – where certain elements could be switched on and off when required. A cross-platform solution was created that delivered a clean but engaging user experience; not only reflecting the modern and innovative way that UNICEF was using a lottery to raise long-term sustainable income, but highlighting the ethos behind the brand.
An extensive Design Toolkit was also crafted, to meticulously outline each component in greater detail; focusing not only on dimensions, but also on the styling of elements including photography and background patterns.
The design received enthusiastic acclaim from both Lottovate and UNICEF; leading to its successful implementation for the launch of a pioneering product in the Norwegian market.
